So for those of you who don't watch Doctor Who, I suggest you go read some other blog post of mine. Maybe one about Why I Think I'm a Vampire or maybe the one about the Say Something Music Video. Because I'm about to dig deep into the relationships of Doctor Who and what this means for Whouffle.
ANYWAY.... So the Doctor has had many relationships over the 50 years of the show and they are all different. I'm not going to address the Classic Who relationships because if I did that we'd be here all day. So in the New Who there are several relationships that have SPECIAL interest.
BTW, this is going to be a long post....
1- The Doctor and Rose.
Look at these two and tell me they're not in love! |
2- River and the Doctor
Does this look like the type of look a man (or time lord) would give the woman he loves? I don't think so... |
3- Friendships.
The Doctor has lots of friendships which helps us gauge the other relationships of the Doctor's.
Amy Pond- purely platonic. He rejects her several times.
Martha- So platonic it hurts....
Donna-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! *breathes* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Rory-Well there was the kiss... JK! Amy would kill him.....
Then there is the last and most important one
4- Clara and the Doctor.
ADORABLE. LOOK AT THEM. LOOK. LOOK. LOOK. *dies from overload of adorableness and feels* |
If you type in "The Doctor and" into Google the first result to pop up is... The Doctor and Rose. Not surprising. But the second is the Doctor and Clara.
Here are the reasons why I think the Doctor and Clara are the most adorable thing ever
1- She saved his life. Lots of times.
I'm not just talking about the whole "I was born to save the Doctor thing." If it wasn't for her we wouldn't have the Doctor right now. She was the one who begged the time lords to save the Doctor in the Time of the Doctor. It was her. She saved him. We owe her everything.
If it wasn't for Clara then the Doctors would have blown up Gallifrey. She was the one who was crying and then told the Doctor that she never imagined HIM pressing the button. That's what hit him. He couldn't do it after that. He looked for another way out, and found it.
3-She isn't a typical companion.
Put aside all the other stuff, she didn't say yes to the Doctor's invitation to fly away with him right away. She told him to come back tomorrow. No other companion did that. She didn't throw her self on him. Clara is also the only companion the Doctor actively looked for. After he met her in the Dalek Asylum and in Victorian London, he became a MONK to find her. He didn't become a monk to find Donna....
4-She is hilarious.
She keeps the Doctor on his toes and teases him and laughs and is generally the cutest thing that ever walked the face of the earth. Or any other planet....
5-She flirts. He flirts. They flirt.
There is so much flirting!! Just... look.
And...
6-He really likes her. A lot. Way too much to be platonic.
9-And there are lots of hugs. Lots. Of. Hugs.
Now we just have to see what happens with 12....
There is so much flirting!! Just... look.
That hair though.... |
Yeah, she is. |
He does crazy things for her. Loves to show off. And just generally adores her.
"Rrrruff!" *big gappy smile* |
7-He also called her perfect.
8-And he calls her "MY impossible girl" or "MY Clara"
9-And there are lots of hugs. Lots. Of. Hugs.
10-There is also the way he looks at her when she isn't looking and countless other little things that make me think that they are the cutest couple of all time.
And here are a few links to support my theory.
So in conclusion,
*dreamy sigh* |
Peace out peeps,
A Girl Against the World.
